Background

Joon obtained a master's degree in architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1996. With over 30 years of architecture experience across California, Nevada, Georgia, and New York, he founded InnoArc in 2017.

Project experience

He has led significant projects worldwide, collaborating with renowned designers and firms such as Frank Gehry, Renzo Piano, Studio Daniel Libeskind, and many more. Notable projects include the Yongsan Business International District in Seoul, Korea, Caofeidian China Resort in China, and City Creek Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Real estate experience

With extensive knowledge and experience in real estate development and the construction industry, he brings a comprehensive perspective to projects.

  • Partnership with DYO Design Office, New York.
  • Partnership with HaeAhn Architecture, Seoul, Korea.

  • InnoConstruction LLC established as an affiliated construction company.
  • Hoimyung Texas Plant grand opening, December 8, 2025.
  • 7911 Orangethorpe Ave entitled for a 21-unit apartment project.
  • Partnership with Stallant Health Medical and Dental Care.
  • Partnership with Buena Park Grand Hotel and Suites.

2023
  • Texas office opened in Austin to manage industrial projects — including HM Plant — around Houston, Dallas and Austin.
  • Georgia office resumed operation, with the Georgia architectural license reinstated to practice in Atlanta.
2022
  • Innoproperties, LLC established in partnership with Hoimyung USA to invest in U.S. real estate development, with InnoArc as its General Manager.
  • InnoArc named architect of record for The Source at Beach in Buena Park.
2021
  • Nevada office opened in Las Vegas, after InnoArc began practicing in Nevada in 2018.
  • 9033 Wilshire in Beverly Hills sold to LaSalle for $74 million. The building, designed by the founder’s former firm, Sim & Associate, Inc., received a design excellence award in 2009.
2020
  • Innotrust, LLC established to partner with private investors on U.S. real estate development.
  • Eplex Buena Park completed and opened to the public: 16,762 sf indoors plus a 2,425 sf outdoor play area.
2019
  • Office relocated to 6988 Beach Blvd to serve a growing number of projects.
2018
  • JS Architects launched, expanding the company’s architectural services.
  • Completed numerous retail and commercial projects for new clients.
2017
  • InnoArc established in Buena Park for architectural practice and construction services.
  • First office opened at The Source at Beach, in partnership with M+D Properties.
